The Pillsbury House summer CREW created this video entitled "Don't Fart Online" as a PSA to deter youth from posting embarrassing pictures of themselves online.  The youth worked with professional artists Kurt Kwan, Pramila Vasudevan, and Masa Kawahara to write, act, and film this entire project.  They were involved in the many layers of producing this PSA for online distribution.

Mural kick-off!

We finally started in on one of the garages in the alley. It was a gloomy and cold start to the project but we got a great start. The group roughed in the basic design.

Once the outlines were roughed in we started filling the broad background shapes. The neighbors even stepped out to help.

SPRING 2011 PROJECTS

The Pillsbury House CREW youth are working hard to help improve our neighborhood by engaging in several service based projects.

Youth and staff from the Pillsbury House CREW program and Full Cycle are engaged in a summer long community partnership with the Paradise Gardens and CANDO. Here are some recent process pictures of youth building raised beds for our garden project.

Matt working with a Full Cycle intern refurbishing two old garden beds.

Two completed beds awaiting compost and seedlings.

Working together to complete bed number 4.

Building roof top beds and learning how to clamp, predrill, and screw together the corners using impact drivers.
